Back to the normal sch day life has never been fun to begin with. Minus the eye candies and the company of friends, there was practically nothing to be joyful about in sch. But 2day's lesson was an interesting one. Something outside the normal engineering field, a HR module.
Miss Chan (wierd cause she is a 50+ auntie who still call herself Miss though she is married.) highted something about learning.
Learning never stops. Quoting this phrase from Magaret Thatcher, "... It is when talented people.. find themselves having to reply on their brains rather than their muscles, that societies progress.." So what is stoping people from learning to acquire new knowledge? Its the uncertainty that people are scared of. The challenges that will be faced when you step out of your normal comfort zone to go and embrace something new. The fears of this and that and for a paradigm shift.
Ok ok.. enough about the wonderful Miss Chan but the other thing that interest me alot was the personality test that she handed out to us to do. It was supposed to something for us to get to know ourself better. I have never trusted these kinda personality tests!! Cause i think they are all bull shit.
Firstly, WHO is UP THERE to tell u who you are and classify the type of person that you belong to?? N to trust the acurancy of it?
Secondly, the questions are asked such that they are trying to challenge the morals in you and being a gracious Singaporean brought up with "HAO GONG MING" and the top 10 correct answers at the back of my head. Its a tough challenge between my rationality and emotion. Yah just take a look at these questions:
On a rating of five rank these 2 choices:
When making decisions:
A: I take my time
B: I make them quickly
Comon! By taking my time, it clearly reflects that your a dumb ass and by doing them quickly it only tell people that your a rash ah beng. How effective can these kinda questions guage what type of person you are right? And not considering the possiilty that some fickle minded people( like me) do things differently in different circumstances.
In the end, I still finished the test.... cause my CA depended on it...... depended on how well i suck up to Miss Chan... -.-"
