Been trying to learn some cooking here while i dun have to fight with some one to use the kitchen and stove. I was a bit sick of noodles and so I started my experiment on other stuff! Haha take a look here..
Its not bad right? For being my 1st time in attempting to cook rice w/o the supervision of my mum. N you noe whats the best thing? I din have a rice cooker!!! I cooked the rice using a Microwave!! Haha Thanks to some guidance from AD. Dun the food just look appetizing?? Ok lah.. some confessions to make, the rice were a bit soggy though cause i think i din perfect the parameter and added too much water and its really hard cooking rice using a microwave... the veges tasted a bit bland but were good though, just the way i like it..
Yum yum!! finished everything.... but i hate the washing...
The next day, i got more adventourous and started experimenting cooking other stuff...
Fried rice!! haha it din taste that good actually despite it looking so good in the pictures. The rice was lacking a certain fragrance that fried rice was supposed to have back home... hmm wonder how mum cooked hers... n i found out that i have actually used the wrong rice!!
I bought Jap rice but according to some expert, you cannot use Jap rice for cooking fried rice.. no wonder its a bit soggy... lesson learnt...

I think this time i am quite successful.. after the numerous attempt to perfect cooking rice using the microwave, i think i have found the correct amount of water to @, correct power level and heating time!! n i bought a bowl!!! this time the rice turned out nice and solid and my fried rice tasted really good (after i tried adding chilli to fry it)... however, it is still lacking the fragrance....
